iD Mobile does not currently offer an NHS discount. A pandemic-era offer of unlimited data for NHS staff ended in October 2020, and no NHS-specific scheme has run since.
NHS staff use the same plans as all other customers. Any active deals are shown in the offer section at the top of this page.
iD Mobile and the Three network
iD Mobile is a mobile virtual network operator launched in 2015 and wholly owned by Currys plc, the parent company of Carphone Warehouse. It runs on the Three network, which merged with Vodafone UK in 2025 to form VodafoneThree.
This gives iD Mobile customers access to 99% UK 4G coverage and 5G at no extra cost. Plans are sold online at idmobile.co.uk and through Currys and Carphone Warehouse.
iD Mobile plans and features
iD Mobile offers SIM-only plans, pay monthly phone contracts, and pay as you go, with flexible one-month and longer contract options. It is one of the few Three-based networks that sells handsets on monthly contracts rather than SIMs alone.
Features include free data rollover on unused data, EU roaming across 50 destinations, eSIM and Wi-Fi Calling support, and bill capping set in flexible increments up to £25. No credit check is required, and SIM-only plan prices are not increased mid-contract.
iD Perks and referrals
iD Mobile introduced iD Perks in 2025, a loyalty platform giving customers discounts and offers across a range of high street brands. This is the main ongoing reward available to members rather than an NHS-specific saving.
A referral programme also pays both the existing customer and the new customer when a friend joins, with no limit on the number of referrals.
Other mobile deals for NHS staff
For a confirmed NHS mobile discount, the EE NHS discount gives 20% off airtime plans and the O2 NHS discount gives 25% off monthly airtime plans through the O2 Open scheme.
Further deals are on the Mobile Phones discounts page.
