Red Funnel does not currently offer a specific NHS or Blue Light Card discount on ferry crossings. No healthcare worker scheme is in place.
The main routes to savings are through the Red Funnel Travelcard, the Special Offers section on the Red Funnel website, and newsletter sign-up for deal alerts.
Red Funnel discount status for NHS staff
No NHS-specific scheme runs at Red Funnel, and no Blue Light Card partnership is currently confirmed on the Blue Light Card platform. This page is updated if either changes.
The Travelcard and the Special Offers section are the two routes most likely to reduce a crossing cost, and both are open to all passengers.

Red Funnel ferry routes and crossings
Red Funnel operates ferry crossings between Southampton and the Isle of Wight, carrying both foot passengers and vehicles. The vehicle ferry runs between Southampton Town Quay and East Cowes and takes approximately 60 minutes.
The Red Jet high-speed passenger-only service runs between Southampton and West Cowes in around 25 minutes. Crossings are pet-friendly, and onboard facilities include a lounge, café, bar, and shop.
The Red Funnel Travelcard
The Red Funnel Travelcard is a top-up account suited to regular travellers, giving up to 20% off vehicle ferry crossings, up to 10% off standard foot passenger crossings, and 15% off food and drink on board.
The card also gives more flexibility when booking and managing crossings. Full details on opening a Travelcard account are on the Red Funnel website at redfunnel.co.uk.
Saving on Red Funnel crossings
The Special Offers section on the Red Funnel website lists current promotions on crossings and holiday packages, including day return deals and discounted Red Jet fares. Newsletter sign-up gives advance notice of new offers as they are released.
For NHS staff planning a full Isle of Wight break, the Shorefield Holidays NHS discount gives 15% off holiday accommodation for healthcare staff at parks across southern England. Further travel savings are on the Holidays discounts page.
