If you want cheaper shoes from Office, head straight for the sale. It runs to thousands of pairs across Nike, adidas, UGG, Birkenstock and Office’s own label, with some trainers knocked down by two thirds and an extra 20% already taken off plenty of lines.
Is There an NHS Discount at Office?
Office doesn’t run its own NHS code on its website, and there’s nothing to tick at checkout to say you work in healthcare. Honestly, that matters less than you’d think. The sale reductions are much bigger than a typical staff discount, and they’re open to everyone without signing up to anything.
If you’re still training as a nurse, midwife or paramedic, Office does offer 10% off to verified students through its student discount page. Otherwise the sale and the deals we list below are where the money is.
What’s in the Office Sale?
It’s a big one. Women’s styles make up most of it, but there’s a decent spread of men’s, kids’ and junior sizes too, plus bags and accessories. The brands are the ones people actually buy: Office’s own range, adidas, Birkenstock, Nike, New Balance, UGG, ASICS, Converse, Crocs, Dr. Martens, HOKA and On.
Some recent examples give you a feel for the prices. Nike Tennis Classic trainers dropped from £89.99 to £30. VEJA Etna sandals went from £145 to £30. The adidas Samba Jane ballet trainers were £80 and came down to £40, and UGG Classic Micro boots fell from £110 to £75. Sizes go quickly on the popular stuff, so if your size is there, don’t sit on it for a week.
Office Deals Listed on NHS Discount Offers
We keep the current Office offers on the site, and three are worth knowing about right now:
- Up to 50% off plus an extra 20% in the end of year sale at Office
- Over 50% off selected Dr Martens boots
- Hundreds of new lines added with further reductions
None of these need a code. The extra 20% shows on the product itself as “extra 20% off applied”, so the price you see is the price you pay.
How Much Can You Save?
On the examples above, the Nike trainers save you £59.99, the VEJA sandals £115 and the Samba Janes £40. That’s the difference between treating yourself and putting it off until payday.
One thing to watch: Office’s free delivery over £80 doesn’t count sale items, so a sale order on its own will usually cost £3.99 to post. Choose click and collect instead and it’s free to your local Office store, with 14 days to pick it up. Handy if your shifts mean you’re never in when the courier turns up.
How to Get the Sale Prices
- Go to the Office sale through one of the deal links above.
- Filter by your size first. It saves scrolling through pairs you can’t have.
- Look for the “extra 20% off applied” badge if you want the deepest cuts.
- Pick click and collect at checkout to avoid the £3.99 delivery charge.
- Pay by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Klarna if you’d rather split the cost.
Shoes That Survive a Long Shift
Twelve hours on a ward is hard on your feet, and the sale is a good chance to pick up something properly cushioned for less. HOKA, ASICS and On are all in there, and those are the brands you see on a lot of nurses and healthcare assistants for good reason. Birkenstock’s clogs are popular for work too, though do check your trust’s uniform policy first, as most clinical areas want closed toes and something you can wipe clean.
If you’re after proper work footwear rather than trainers, our Crocs NHS discount guide covers the styles designed for professional use. For something comfy off duty, Fitflop’s NHS discount and the Skechers Go Walk range are both good options.
Is It Worth It?
Yes, if you know what you want. These are big name brands at genuinely lower prices, not made-for-sale stock, and you can try things on in store before you buy if there’s an Office near you.
The returns are where you need to pay attention. Online orders come with the usual 14 days to cancel and another 14 to send them back unworn, and returning to a store is free, while a DPD return costs £2.95, taken off your refund. If you buy sale shoes in store, though, you’ve only got 14 days and you’ll get an exchange or gift card rather than your money back. So be sure about the fit.
Boots are where Office’s sale really shines at this time of year. If Docs are on your list, compare the Office price with our Dr Martens NHS discount page before you buy, and for slightly marked pairs at lower prices, Schuh Imperfects is another good place to look.
Tips to Keep Costs Down
- Use click and collect on sale orders. Sale items don’t count towards free delivery.
- Check the Offcuts outlet as well. It’s Office’s clearance site and goes up to 70% off.
- Buy winter boots in the sale now rather than waiting for the cold snap, when sizes thin out.
- If you’re unsure about sizing, order online rather than in store so you keep the right to a refund.
- Keep an eye on our deals list, as Office adds new reductions every few weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions

Office doesn’t have its own NHS code on its website. The best savings for NHS staff come from the Office sale, which takes up to 67% off, and the Office deals we list on NHS Discount Offers.
How much is off in the Office sale?
Up to 67% off across trainers, boots, sandals and shoes, with an extra 20% off on many lines. Office’s Offcuts outlet goes up to 70% off.
Do I need a code for the extra 20% off?
No. Lines with the extra 20% show an “extra 20% off applied” badge, and the reduction is already in the price shown.
Do Office sale orders get free delivery?
Not usually. Free delivery over £80 excludes sale items, so standard delivery is £3.99. Click and collect to an Office store is free.
